Join correspondent Tom Wilmer in Little Rock, Arkansas where he visits with Stephanie Wade, Director of the Historic Arkansas Museum. Located in the heart of downtown Little Rock the museum includes the town’s oldest building the circa-1827 Hinderliter Grog Shop along with other historic structures and a blacksmith shop.
Within the two-story museum there’s an array of Arkansas-crafted treasures including clothing, dolls, furniture, quilts and paintings. There’s also a gallery featuring contemporary Arkansas-made items from quilts to crafts and decorative fine arts. Underwriting support for Journeys of Discovery provided by Nashville's Big Back Yard economic initiative focused on rural communities in the southwest quarter of Tennessee and the Shoals Region of Northern Alabama.
