Join the Mayor of Hot Springs Arkansas, Pat McCabe and his wife Ellen at their restored historic Hotel Hale in the heart of Bathhouse Row.
The McCabes share insights about their arduous journey restoring the historic Hotel Hale, and insights about how Hot Springs has attracted a new clientele. It used to be a destination driven by visitors from people throughout state of Arkansas--but COVID has served as a game changer in demographics.
The McCabe note that pre-covid Hot Springs wasn't on the radar for vacationers from Houston, Texas, for example, but now Houstonians have widened their radius of targeted travel destinations and they don't mind the seven-hour road trip to find a relatively safe-haven, with ample outdoor activities at Hot Springs National Park.
