Central Coast filmmaker Brittany App is working on her upcoming feature-length documentary film about California’s critical ongoing drought, titled 'Where There Once Was Water'.

The film is a passion project for App, who says she set out to document our vanishing water supply through a photographic essay and ended up discovering a story more complex than she ever could have thought.

App joined KCBX News Director Randol White in studio to talk about California’s past, present and future water prospects, as well as her upcoming film that is currently in production.
