Melinda Forbes and Julie Frankel will lead a collaborative meditation, an artistic expression of our world. Followed by an individual project honoring one of the many peacemakers we admire. All materials will be provided with tea and a little treat.
Make your own intaglio print with resident artist David Butz. Participants in this workshop will use a twisted etching needle to scratch their design into a 4 x 6 inch clear acrylic “plexi” plate. We will then ink, wipe, and print the designs onto paper using the etching press. Participants can expect to take home 3 to 5 prints.Email David at dbutzdesign@att.net to sign up.

The intention of this small group gathering is to provide support for expectant and postpartum parents/caregivers in nurturing their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We’ll create a safe and supportive space where attendees can connect, reflect, and grow through their shared and lived experience of pregnancy into parenthood.Our intended audience includes pregnant individuals, new parents/caregivers, and those navigating the transition into parenthood up to one year, with a focus on accessible, inclusive, and facilitated peer support. Refreshments & light snacks will be provided. Older children up to about age three are welcome and care will be provided in the Children’s Garden.Held in the natural setting of the Children’s Garden at the SLO Botanical Garden, this event will offer guest speakers, guided journaling, peer support, and facilitated discussions, all rooted in evidence-based care and holistic wellness.
This group will meet once per week on Thursdays, from 10 until 11:30 am – from April 10 until May 15, for a six-week session.

Join our Executive Director, Janine Stillman, to create a beautiful fused-glass panel for your garden, which can be displayed in a metal stand that is provided. This class is for everyone, including those with no experience. Techniques for cutting glass will be presented as well as lots of inspiration for interesting designs. This is a hands-on, fun, and creative way to spend your morning and you’re sure to come away with a treasure that can be displayed in your garden.

Bring your friends for a night of macrame, wine, and fun. Your ticket includes a plant pot, materials to create a plant hanger, your first glass of wine, and knowledge of multiple knotting techniques.

Join us for a relaxing evening of tea, seasonal meditation and contemplation, and then a chance to integrate the whole experience creatively through our hands in Wellstone's inspiring art studio. Play with clay, explore many other mediums, or bring your own project. These monthly gatherings are a favorite for the slow, nourishing pace, good company, and delicious tea.
