A House United is a new documentary film about a powerful movement sweeping the nation—and about the people working to build a new future. It's not a depressing film about polarization. In fact no matter the outcome of the midterm elections and no matter how you voted, you'll find this story full of optimism. Join us to watch and meet some of the young people building a future across the differences that can divide us.

Spokes Symposium 2026 will center on AI and Digital Safety for Nonprofit Organizations, with technologist and consultant Clara Fulks sharing the AI literacy skills nonprofit leaders need to help protect their organizations, teams, and communities from digital harm.

The program will include interactive small-group activities and conclude with a networking hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

We will also be honoring the lives of Frank Lanzone, who served as KCBX’s president and general manager since 1980, and 38-year station operations manager Hank Hadley. Join us for a special book launch celebrating Los Osos resident, disability educator, and advocate Jennifer Chassman Browne and her new book, See Us, Know Us: Profiles of Disability, published by Torchflame Books.

The book’s message of access, inclusion, and belonging aligns with the Estero Bay Kindness Coalition’s commitment to caring for our neighbors and bringing the community together.

Jennifer has generously offered to donate half of the proceeds from book sales at the event to the Kindness Coalition.

Tune in to tone up this holiday season with Gentle Chair Yoga at the White Heron Sangha Meditation Center. If you are looking for less stress and fewer aches and pains, this is the perfect mindful movement class for you. Starting October 26th, join certified yoga instructor Jill Falcone every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:15. This ten-week series is designed for all ages and abilities. No prior yoga experience is required.
Practice yoga in the serenity of our beautiful meditation center, with joyous music and a fantastic community of people while improving your balance, flexibility, and strength. Chair yoga delivers all the wonderful benefits of traditional yoga with less risk of injury!

Each 60-minute Zoom session includes brief introductions, a quick check-in (good news and/or what’s “keeping you up at night”), and participant-driven discussion around spotlight topics. Confidentiality is a core expectation (what’s shared in the roundtable stays in the roundtable) to encourage candid conversation and mutual support.

The Pitch is an exciting initiative designed to help local nonprofits refine their message, amplify their impact, and connect with key supporters.

This three-month coaching experience provides nonprofit leaders with expert coaching, strategic insight, and a dynamic platform to elevate their mission. Cohort participants receive professional coaching to develop a clear organizational pitch, gain increased visibility and connections, and build the capacity needed to sustain long-term growth.

The program culminates in a high-energy live event on November 10th where it’s your turn to help shape the night! Start the evening with a wine reception and passed appetizers, meet the nonprofits behind the missions, and connect with the people bringing their work to life. Watch each finalist deliver a powerful three-minute pitch, then make real-time donations to the organizations that inspire you most.

Follow the giving totals throughout the evening and experience the excitement as the community comes together to turn inspiration into meaningful impact. A panel of judges will award first-, second-, and third-place prizes, and every finalist will leave with funding to move their mission forward. Don't just watch the stories.
