Kick-off your weekend with a fun evening at Claiborne & Churchill! Every Friday June through September enjoy live music by local artists, delicious food and great wine! Entrance is free, simply pay for what you consume.Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. The Unitarian Universalists of San Luis Obispo are pleased to present the 2023 film Israelism, a balanced and powerful documentary about two Jewish young adults, Simone Zimmerman, cofounder of "If Not Now" and Eitan, a former Israel Defense Force soldier who go to Palestine and "unlearn" everything they have been taught about defending the state of Israel at all costs.The documentary challenges viewers to think critically and fosters empathy, making it a must-watch for anyone interested in the conflict, human rights, and global politics.We look forward to an open, respectful discussion after the film. Art Center Morro Bay presents “Everyday Common Things”, a MBAA members only exhibit, celebrating the often-overlooked objects and moments of daily life. This theme challenges artists to transform the mundane-simple objects, outings, or familiar scenes into works of art that reveal their hidden significance or charm. By capturing the essence of the ordinary, artists can invite viewers to see the world around them in new and unexpected ways, finding inspiration and the creativity in the simplicity of everyday life.
In addition, Central Coast Artists Collective presents, The Painter’s Group juried annual Brushstrokes exhibit along with “Off the Wall”, the Central Coast Sculptors exhibit. Brushstrokes 2025, a California-wide non-themed annual juried exhibition, showcases a diverse array of artistic expression across various painting mediums, including acrylic, oil, pastel, watercolor, encaustic, digital, and collage.
Exhibition schedule is August 7th to September 15th with theArtist’s Reception on Sunday, August 9th from 2 to 4 pm.
