Where’s Waldo? In Arroyo Grande, of course! During July, Waldo will be hiding in over 20 local businesses in the AG Village. Pick up a “Find Waldo Local in Arroyo Grande!” stamp card at Monarch Books starting July 1st.When you spy a Waldo in a local shop, get your card stamped by the participating shop. If you collect 10 stamps, you can return to Monarch Books for a Waldo sticker and a coupon (for the first 125 seekers only). If you collect 20 or more stamps, you will have the opportunity to be entered into a grand-prize drawing for Waldo books and other prizes. Grand-prize drawing will be held on Friday, August 1st at 5 pm at Monarch Books.The hunt lasts from July 1st through July 31st. Free and family-friendly!
The Cambria Center for the Arts is pleased to present our “Travel” Exhibit featuring the work of Eric Oksen. Eric Oksen strives to evoke a sense of place through his paintings. He enjoys using windows in his art as powerful visual elements to draw viewers into every scene, conjuring imagined conversations and events. Water scenes also delight Oksen, as they allow him to explore light, color, and reflection through thoughtful application of paint to canvas. Hundreds of vendors fill the Sunset Drive-In every Sunday morning from 6 am to 3 pm for their weekly Swap Meet. There are food trucks and parking is free outside the gate. Admission is $1.00. Rain cancels.
The Arroyo Grande Summer Concert Series kicks off on July 4th with two concerts (11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm) and then continues every Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the beautiful Bandstand in Heritage Square Park. Food, beer, and wine available. Family friendly, bring your lawn chairs.
Four Lanterns Winery host a Sunday Evening concert series every summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day, hosting a variety of community based bands and solo performers, along with a food truck each week. This is a great way for locals to end their weekends, and gather with friends. 10% of our concert proceeds go to select charities each year. This years charities recipients are ECHO Atascadero and Hope with I.A.N. Families are welcome along with well behaved pets.
