
Sawyer Thomas
Substitute HostSawyer Thomas is a rooted SLO County local who plays music and studied classical composition. He substitutes on a variety of KCBX music programs, and was an intern for KCBX News during the fall of 2024. Sawyer was the Editor-in-Chief for The Cuestonian, Cuesta College’s student-run news website. Now back in school at Cal Poly, he’s working toward a degree in journalism so he can pursue news reporting and broadcast production full time.
Sawyer has a passion for all genres of music, but blues, funk and soul are at the top of his list, and he enjoys bringing that passion to the airwaves.
When he’s not sharing music on the air or studying journalism, he enjoys photography, time outdoors, and composing music.
