North Carolina's 58th Regiment C.S.A., drills and performs at Chickamauga National Battlefield Park in Georgia 150 years after the onset of the Civil War.

Most members of the 58th are direct descendants, and live in the same towns and villages in and around Asheville, as their ancestors who fought at Chickamauga in the fall of 1863.

Long ago, Correspondent Tom Wilmer spent the afternoon with the reenactors at Chickamauga. One of the sobering moments was the excruciating, long process of reloading the rifles, known as the 9-Count
