A series of Central Coast events featuring candidates for President of the United States is underway, and it started Wednesday afternoon with Democratic front runner Hillary Clinton in Salinas.

Clinton spent much of her half-hour speech at Hartnell College targeting the presumptive Republican nominee, Donald Trump.

She also took more than one opportunity to endorse Jimmy Panetta, who's running for the 20th Congressional District to replace retiring Democratic Congressman Sam Farr. Panetta is the son of Leon Panetta, Former President Bill Clinton's Chief of Staff and Secretary of Defense under Barak Obama.

Democratic challenger Bernie Sanders will address a crowd at Ventura College on Thursday afternoon.

The Senator returns to the Central Coast on Saturday morning for another rally at Santa Barbara City College and then again that afternoon at Santa Maria High School.

Donald Trump's event calendar shows him addressing a crowd in Fresno on Friday morning.
