This May exhibit by Lori Slater features a selection from the last 20 years of 12 representational watercolors and acrylics. The subject matter includes some figures in natural and imaginative environments, with the seaside a recurring theme.
Embark on a journey where the worlds of poetry and visual arts intertwine at our latest exhibition, "Poetic Prints." In collaboration with the Central Coast Printmakers and local poets, this exhibition explores creativity across mediums. The exhibition can be seen on Sundays to Thursdays from 12 to 4 pm and Fridays to Saturdays from 12 to 9 pm.
The 8th Annual Cambria Bee, Butterfly and Bat Faire will feature observation beehives and bat houses with presentations by local bee, bat and pollinator experts, kids activities and face painting, May Day hat making, fresh local foods, artisanal ciders & regional honey, photography exhibits, books on pollinators, a silent auction, and extraordinary views of the sun through solar telescopes with specialized filters, including a rare blue filter. A blistering satire that slices through the “story” of Thanksgiving. In this play by Larissa Fasthorse, good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in this wickedly funny satire, as a troupe of well-meaning, but hilariously misguided teaching artists scramble to create a school pageant that can somehow celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.

Get ready to tap your toes and hum along as the Atascadero Community Band proudly presents, “On With the Show!”, a sensational concert extravaganza celebrating the timeless melodies of Broadway.In true Broadway fashion, the band is rolling out the red carpet for our beloved community. Grab your top hat and tails, slip into that sequined gown, and get ready to be swept off your feet as we bring the glitz and glamor of Broadway right here to Atascadero. From classics like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “Do Re Mi”, and “Oklahoma”, to show stopping anthems such as “America”, “Memory” and “My Shot”, the band guarantees an afternoon brimming with emotional nostalgia, dynamic drama, and a little bit of pure theatrical magic. Whether you are a seasoned Broadway aficionado or simply looking for a fun afternoon, come one, come all! Admission is free, and donations to support our mission are warmly welcomed. The concert will begin promptly at 3 pm, and refreshments will be provided.

Sierra Vista is hosting a Free Skin Cancer Screening on May 6th. Attendees will be screened by a local dermatologist in a private screening space. Screenings take about 15 minutes. Pre-registration is required.
Juried by Cal Poly instructor Makia Sharp, this exhibit showcases the work of Cuesta students, featuring drawings, paintings, sculpture, ceramics, printmaking and digital art. Proceeds of sales go directly to students, less 10% which goes to our Fine Arts Access scholarships. Open Monday - Friday from 11 am to 4 pm.
