Calling all crafty, caring, pet-loving kids! Care Crew members will have the opportunity to join us in filling Kongs for our canines to enjoy in their kennels, crafting homemade pet toys, and creating art to help showcase our adoptable animals. Care Crew will be held at our San Luis Obispo location on Sundays from 2:00 to 3:30 pm.

Step into a world of color, elegance, and tradition at "Art of the Kimono: From Court to Street", an illustrated presentation exploring one of Japan’s most enduring symbols of beauty and craftsmanship. Presented by Artist, Lynn Kishiyama, this 40-minute talk blends vivid images, personal stories, and cultural insights to trace the kimono’s journey from its origins in the imperial courts of Japan to its place in modern fashion.

Four Lanterns Winery host a Sunday Evening concert series every summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day, hosting a variety of community based bands and solo performers, along with a food truck each week. This is a great way for locals to end their weekends, and gather with friends. 10% of our concert proceeds go to select charities each year. This years charities recipients are ECHO Atascadero and Hope with I.A.N. Families are welcome along with well behaved pets.

These interactive, welcoming workshops use the tools of improvisational theater—like play, spontaneity, and "yes, and"—to build real-life skills for communication, confidence, and connection. No acting or comedy experience is needed. Through guided games and group activities, participants explore how improv principles can help them listen more fully, respond more flexibly, and thrive in daily life, even when things don’t go as planned.

Whether you're looking to speak up more, connect with others, or simply have fun in a judgment-free space, these workshops offer something for everyone.

1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, 9/21-12/7.

This program will introduce the fascinating biology of the Odonates: dragonflies and damselflies. Attendees will learn about the dragonfly’s life cycle which includes an underwater nymph stage, much like a butterfly's caterpillar stage. The different families of dragonflies will be introduced and the most common species to be attracted to a pond in the Morro Bay area will be presented.

Get ready for the cutest, coziest, and cuddliest hour in your week! Pet Tales welcomes young children and their grownups for a pet-themed story time with our adoptable cats. Curl up with your little one in our ‘Cat Room’ and enjoy read aloud stories, bubbles, and (most importantly) our cats!

Do you have one or more employees? Then you must comply with CalSavers, California’s state-sponsored retirement savings program. Employers with even just one employee must be in compliance by December 31, 2025. CalSavers provides workers who don’t have access to an employer-sponsored plan with an easy, automatic way to save for retirement through payroll deductions.

Participants will learn what CalSavers is and what requirements the State of California has for employers. The session will also cover how to get in compliance before the deadline, and the options available for employers when choosing a retirement plan. Attendees will leave equipped with the knowledge to take the next best step for their team’s retirement plan.

Bookworms, assemble! Woods is welcoming animal lovers ages 7 to 17 to join us in reading to our furry friends. Shelter life can be stressful, and reading is proven to relax and comfort companion animals. Book Buddies will be held at our Atascadero location on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and at our San Luis Obispo location on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
