Child care is essential to the economic vitality of any city. Unfortunately, like many businesses and organizations, child care providers are suffering greatly from the COVID-19 pandemic. Child care is central to our community and impacts not only those in need of care: business is impacted when employees don’t have reliable care, essential workers on the frontlines like doctors, nurses, and grocery store suppliers can’t make it to work. And while the need for child care is so great, many programs are struggling, and many are unsure they will make it through this pandemic with their businesses and staffing intact.
