The Supreme Court will likely weigh in on the Trump administration’s plan to limit mail-in voting soon, but for now, a SLO County election official is encouraging voters to use county ballot drop boxes instead.

Changes at the U.S. Postal Service mean voters may need to take extra steps to vote by mail in the upcoming midterm election.

The deadline to file as a candidate in November’s election has passed for many seats, however some local offices have an extended filing period that ends this Wednesday.
