Water parks are an integral part of summertime fun for families across America. The trend started with Schlitterbahn Waterpark in New Braunfels, Texas back in 1979. Schlitterbahn introduced the world’s first inland surfing ride (the same ride that has become a popular attraction on cruise ships), the first uphill water coaster and wave river.
Celebrating its 40th Anniversary this summer, Schlitterbahn is a family affair—both in ownership and the guests who return year after year. Correspondent Tom Wilmer visits with Terri Adams, chief operating officer and director of communications Winter Prosapio.
