The Arroyo Grande Summer Concert Series kicks off on July 4th with two concerts (11 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm) and then continues every Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the beautiful Bandstand in Heritage Square Park. Food, beer, and wine available. Family friendly, bring your lawn chairs.
Jasmine Showers, Water Resources Analyst for the City of Santa Barbara, will discuss Santa Barbara’s Diverse Water System, Past and Present.
Jasmine will highlight the long history of water conservation in Santa Barbara as well as the City’s diverse water portfolio. The City of Santa Barbara has invested in developing water sources and manages one of the most diverse water portfolios in California. City water sources include Lake Cachuma, Gibraltar/Mission Tunnel, groundwater, State Water Project, desalination, and recycled water. The city also has a robust history of water conservation and relies on continued water conservation from customers to effectively manage the water supplies to meet demand. This presentation will provide an overview of each of the City’s water supply sources.

Four Lanterns Winery host a Sunday Evening concert series every summer from Memorial Day to Labor Day, hosting a variety of community based bands and solo performers, along with a food truck each week. This is a great way for locals to end their weekends, and gather with friends. 10% of our concert proceeds go to select charities each year. This years charities recipients are ECHO Atascadero and Hope with I.A.N. Families are welcome along with well behaved pets.

Cal Poly Professor Emily Taylor, founder of Central Coast Snake Services, will explain how you can get your questions about local snakes answered. The CCSS promotes a peaceful coexistence with rattlesnakes on the Central Coast, providing free snake identification, rescuing injured snakes, and relocating rattlesnakes from residences in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties. Bookworms, assemble! Woods is welcoming animal lovers ages 7 to 17 to join us in reading to our furry friends. Shelter life can be stressful, and reading is proven to relax and comfort companion animals. Book Buddies will be held at our Atascadero location on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and at our San Luis Obispo location on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.
Come sing with us!Singers with choral experience are invited to join us as we prepare for Santa Barbara Master Chorale’s performance of “The Light So Shines”—a holiday celebration of hope, joy, and our gift of light to the world. Performances will be on December 6 & 7. Auditions will be held on September 2, 9, and 16 between 5:00 and 6:40 p.m. in the sanctuary.

The Central Coast Dance Community is having a fun raiser to help support live music and dance on the Central Coast.
The BBQ starts at noon followed by a Country Two Step Lesson at 12:30 and dance with the Three Martini Lunch band from 1 to 3 pm.
You’re invited to the Nipomo Senior Center monthly general meeting, potluck and “new member sign-up.” Bring a dish to share and join us.
There is a different guest speaker every third Wednesday of the each month. In September we welcome Michael from Pacific Wild Life Care. Their mission is to support San Luis Obispo County wildlife, through rehabilitation and educational outreach.
This is a 50+ community, become a member and enjoy games, group meet-ups, exercise, food distribution, resources for seniors, and free medical equipment is available to all.
Meals That Connects serves meals at the center Monday through Friday at 11:30 am.
