Art Center Morro Bay proudly presents the MBAA Illuminations exhibit joined with the Central Coast Artists Collective of Photography and Fine Craft juried exhibit.
Illuminations: Reflections and Shadows: we see them in a mirror, a pond, or a puddle. It could be your face, the light from the sky, or the silhouette of a scene shining on a surface. Illuminations is an MBAA members-only exhibition which dives into the study of light and the ways it reveals, transforms and inspires.
CCAC Photographers & Craft makers: Central Coast Photographic Society and the Craft makers Coalition join forces for an exhibition in the Russell Gallery (upstairs), running concurrently with "Illuminations" downstairs. Member artists display recent works, highlighting variety in technique and subject matter.
Runs through June 23.

The Cambria Center for the Arts (CCA) is thrilled to announce this special exhibit, a unique art and literary event. The work of local visual artists will be displayed along with accompanying brief, written interpretations provided by a talented community of writers. Participants will include the Joslyn Center group, “Rough Writers,” as well as a variety of local poets, novelists, journalists, and high school students. Amateur and professional writers will partake in this event.
When: April 29 to June 29 (Tuesday through Sundays from 12 to 4 pm)

Oceano Dunes District-Pismo State Beach is excited to host our 2nd annual Sandcastle Competition. Gather your buckets, hand shovels, friends, and family to join in the fun. This event will be on the shoreline just north of the Grand Avenue beach entrance. Look for our blue tent and sandcastle signs. Free parking is available in the lot near Fin's Bar & Grill at 25 W. Grand Avenue, Grover Beach.

How to register? Visit castateparksweek.org and click on the 'events' tab at the top of your screen. Scroll through the events or type 'sandcastle' into the search bar. Click on the event to view all the details, and you'll see the green button to RSVP. Be sure to enter your email address so we can reach out to you with more event info and get your team name.
Once you RSVP for the event, you will be contacted by Park Staff by email to create your team name and learn about the competition guidelines.

For the first time, Atascadero will be hosting our County's MAJOR Indivisible rallies in support of a national day of mass mobilization - June 14th "No Kings" day.
NOW is the time to collectively stand up and push back in force to protect our right to demonstrate before they are taken away. Join the nationwide "No Kings" day of action with a four-corner demonstration, car rally, and food drive. Stand on a corner, drive by in your decorated vehicle, or donate food for Atascadero Food Pantry. In support of our constitution, civil rights and the rule of law. This is a peaceful, family-friendly event that welcomes all who support democratic principles.

This year marks the 4th annual Atascadero Pride celebration, and the theme—“Love Changes Everything”—calls on the Central Coast community to come together in a powerful show of unity, joy, and inclusion.
