The Cambria Center for the Arts (CCA) is thrilled to announce this special exhibit, a unique art and literary event. The work of local visual artists will be displayed along with accompanying brief, written interpretations provided by a talented community of writers. Participants will include the Joslyn Center group, “Rough Writers,” as well as a variety of local poets, novelists, journalists, and high school students. Amateur and professional writers will partake in this event. You agreed to serve as the board treasurer. What were you thinking? More to the point, what do you do now? Not to worry. Being treasurer can be fun—really—and you can also serve an extremely valuable role for your organization. This class will give you the basics to perform the role happily and effectively. Join us and learn:—What are the required financial reports and how do they relate to one another?—Is the treasurer the bookkeeper? If not, who is?—What are the annual state and federal reporting requirements?—How can you use technology to lighten the load? This class is online; link will be sent with registration acknowledgement. This class may be recorded.
SLO Skiers, a local, non-profit sports & social club for adults, holds monthly meetings. A social hour with food & drink starts at 5:30 pm. Events occur all year long.

Bring your lunch, tour the garden, ask questions, or just sit and enjoy the sights & sounds of the Garden of the Seven Sisters. See what’s in bloom and learn something new. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions. First Wednesday of each month from April to September.

The intention of this small group gathering is to provide support for expectant and postpartum parents/caregivers in nurturing their mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We’ll create a safe and supportive space where attendees can connect, reflect, and grow through their shared and lived experience of pregnancy into parenthood.Our intended audience includes pregnant individuals, new parents/caregivers, and those navigating the transition into parenthood up to one year, with a focus on accessible, inclusive, and facilitated peer support. Refreshments & light snacks will be provided. Older children up to about age three are welcome and care will be provided in the Children’s Garden.Held in the natural setting of the Children’s Garden at the SLO Botanical Garden, this event will offer guest speakers, guided journaling, peer support, and facilitated discussions, all rooted in evidence-based care and holistic wellness.
This group will meet once per week on Thursdays, from 10 until 11:30 am – from April 10 until May 15, for a six-week session.

At the Parkfield Bluegrass Festival live bands play all day on a cozy stage and at night fans enjoy late night sets in the Parkfield Cafe. May 8th to the 11th.
