From the first note, this Chicago-born soul singer pulls you in with a voice that is powerful, textured, and undeniably real. She first caught the nation’s eye on Season 17 of The Voice, where her stunning performances earned standing ovations and high praise from the judges.
Blending gospel, blues, and soul into every song, she brings a classic spirit to the stage with a style all her own. Her original music brims with heart and fire, full of stories that resonate long after the last chord fades. Known for her larger-than-life presence and fearless authenticity, she sings with a conviction that makes you feel every lyric deep down.
The SLO County Jazz Federation presents Master vibraharpist Charlie Shoemake will be joined by local stand outs Dave Becker on sax, Jamaal Baptiste on piano, Ken Hustad on bass and Darrell Voss on drums.

These interactive, welcoming workshops use the tools of improvisational theater—like play, spontaneity, and "yes, and"—to build real-life skills for communication, confidence, and connection. No acting or comedy experience is needed. Through guided games and group activities, participants explore how improv principles can help them listen more fully, respond more flexibly, and thrive in daily life, even when things don’t go as planned.
Whether you're looking to speak up more, connect with others, or simply have fun in a judgment-free space, these workshops offer something for everyone.
