Two Cal Poly choirs — Cantabile and Chamber Choir — will present a concert titled “Sacred Sounds” in Mission San Luis Obispo. The Chamber Choir will perform the oldest piece on the concert, Guillaume Dufay’s “Nuper rosarum flores,” plus a rare performance of Tomás Luis de Victoria’s “Missa O quam gloriosum” in its entirety. Cantabile will sing several movements from Giovanni Battista Pergolesi’s celebrated “Stabat Mater,” featuring solos by Music Department voice instructor Kaitrin Cunningham, and students Melissa Scarpelli and Erika Foreman. Tickets are sold at the Cal Poly Ticket Office, ext. 6-4849. Call the Music Department with questions, 805-756-2406.
