The Alisal Fire burning in Santa Barbara County has now burned 17,254 acres and is at 80% containment, according to Santa Barbara County Fire's last update.

The evacuation order for the area west of Arroyo Hondo to the intersection of Highway 101 and Highway 1, the Arroyo Hondo Canyon and Refugio Canyon, and the area between El Capitan Beach State Park and West Camino Cielo has been cancelled.

1,304 personnel are assigned to the fire, according to Santa Barbara County Fire spokesperson Mike Eliason on Twitter.

The Santa Barbara County Public Health Department and the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District (APCD) have downgraded the Air Quality Alert to an Air Quality Watch for Santa Barbara County.

According to the APCD, smoke and ash from the Alisal Fire still have the potential to affect air quality, but impacts are not expected to be as significant as they were last week.

The APCD also said local air quality conditions can change quickly depending on winds.

Highway 101 near the fire remains open.

The cause of the fire is still undetermined.
