The Clayton House is a centerpiece of the Belle Grove Historic District--a 22 square-block neighborhood of enchanting Victorian homes in the heart of Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Fort Smith played a key role in western migration, and provided military escorts for Forty Niner gold rush prospectors and pioneer settlers.
