Journeys of Discovery: Exploring Hot Springs, Arkansas

Historic Hot Springs, Arkansas is home to the second smallest National Park in America. Correspondent Tom Wilmer joins Steve Arrison, CEO of Visit Hot Springs for an exploration of the town’s timeless attractions.

Jennifer Hoyt at the Oaklawn racetrack, casino and resort talks about the past, present and future of the premier facility and its century long history. We'll join Pat and Ellen McCabe, proprietors of the Hotel Hale and restaurant housed in the circa-1892 Hale bathhouse. Pat is also Mayor of Hot Springs and he shares some insights about the town, its challenges and distinctive qualities.

There's a cool diversity of places to stay from historic hotels, inns and B&Bs and the centrally located Hotel Hot Springs – a hidden gem within the National Park. The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the historic downtown where visitors can explore many favorite Hot Springs attractions.
