Community Calendar

The Cambria Center for the Arts (CCA) is thrilled to announce this special exhibit, a unique art and literary event. The work of local visual artists will be displayed along with accompanying brief, written interpretations provided by a talented community of writers. Participants will include the Joslyn Center group, “Rough Writers,” as well as a variety of local poets, novelists, journalists, and high school students. Amateur and professional writers will partake in this event.
When: April 29 to June 29 (Tuesday through Sundays from 12 to 4 pm)

Art Center Morro Bay proudly presents the MBAA Illuminations exhibit joined with the Central Coast Artists Collective of Photography and Fine Craft juried exhibit.
Illuminations: Reflections and Shadows: we see them in a mirror, a pond, or a puddle. It could be your face, the light from the sky, or the silhouette of a scene shining on a surface. Illuminations is an MBAA members-only exhibition which dives into the study of light and the ways it reveals, transforms and inspires.
CCAC Photographers & Craft makers: Central Coast Photographic Society and the Craft makers Coalition join forces for an exhibition in the Russell Gallery (upstairs), running concurrently with "Illuminations" downstairs. Member artists display recent works, highlighting variety in technique and subject matter.
Runs through June 23.

Barkapalooza is the main fundraiser for Sherwood Dog Park in Paso Robles. Stop by and hang with fellow dog lovers, enjoy some BBQ and shop our silent auction, bake sale (for humans and pooches), and take a photo with your dog. We are 100% volunteer run and everything we raise is used for park maintenance and improvements. We love your support, so come enjoy a fun morning at Barkapalooza.

Whether you are currently in treatment, a survivor, or supporting a loved one, this free event is designed to empower you with knowledge, connection, and resources to support your well-being. Please join us and many different community resources that have come together to provide support and information for our Cancer community members. Activities include • Community resource booths • Expert guidance – Oncology Nurse Navigator, Dietician, Physical Therapist & Social Worker• Free lunch – Enjoy a meal while learning from our guest speaker, Dr. Heidi Lucas speaking on the topic of Food as Medicine: Boost your energy, immune system and microbiome health.

Join us in celebrating The Marine Mammal Center’s 50th anniversary! Mingle with The Marine Mammal Center’s leadership and experts as well as like-minded ocean heroes and partner conservation organizations. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy a complementary commemorative brew, West Coast Whale, crafted by Headlands Brewing. Additional food and drinks will be available for purchase.
Meet several of our conservation partners, including Pacific Wildlife Care, Friends of the Elephant Seals, California State Parks, Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary, Environmental Center of San Luis Obispo, and Morro Bay Natural Estuary Program.
