Bookworms, assemble! Woods is welcoming animal lovers ages 7 to 17 to join us in reading to our furry friends. Shelter life can be stressful, and reading is proven to relax and comfort companion animals. Book Buddies will be held at our San Luis Obispo location on Wednesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 pm.

Join Scholastic graphic novelist Kane Lynch for a weekly workshop in comic creation! Over six weeks, we'll design original characters, develop a story, and learn the professional tools to turn our concepts into finished comics.
Appropriate for ages 8 to 15 years old.

6 weeks, September 17th to October 22nd. Wednesdays, from 4 to 5 pm

Join the Cuesta Wind Ensemble for an evening of wind music classics by great American and International composers. Jennifer Martin conducts.

Led by legendary drummer Jerry Marotta, the band features elite talent from across the industry, including vocalists Joey Eppard and Lindsey Skeye, guitarists Peter Calo and Matt Finck, bassist Jennifer Maidman, keyboardist Dr. David Jameson, and a four-piece horn section stacked with heavy-hitters: Jay Collins, Bill Harris, Chris Pasin, and Annie Whitehead.

Based in Woodstock, NY and known for selling out venues across the Northeast, Reelin' in the Years isn't really a tribute band at all—it's Steely Dan's legacy brought to life.

A little magic can take you a long way. After James Henry Trotter's parents are tragically eaten by a rhinoceros, he goes to live with his two horrible aunts, Spiker and Sponge. Life there is no fun, until James accidentally drops some magic crystals by the old peach tree and strange things start to happen. The peach at the top of the tree begins to grow, and before long it's as big as a house. Inside, James meets a bunch of oversized friends- Miss Spider, Old-Green-Grasshopper, Centipede, Ladybug, and Earthworm. With a snip of the stem, the peach starts rolling away, and the great adventure begins!

This comical murder mystery was written by local playwright and actor Ben Abbott. Come join us for an evening of fun that will knock your socks off and possibly leave you dying with laughter.

It’s time for our very own Comic-Con, the Annual Comix Fair! Meet comic book artists, enjoy a fun selfie booth, kids’ crafts and Magic the Gathering games. Costumes are encouraged—there will be both adult and kid costume contests.
