This annual event invites visitors to participate in a variety of art and nature-inspired activities.

Show your wild side with a face paint design, create your own upcycled art piece, shake paws with dogs and kittens from Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society, wonder at a live bee hive with Santa Barbara Hives, and enjoy a nature-inspired assortment of local organization booths.

Enjoy crafts and educational activities in the SLO Botanical Garden's Children’s Area. The retail nursery, home to our selection of self-propagated native plants well suited for the Central Coast’s Mediterranean climate, will be open for business. Stroll through our “Fire Safe” garden and hike the hill up to the “Human Sundial” or simply meander through our main “Display Garden.”

Tell your families, tell your friends, your friends’ friends: garden admission is waived so pack a picnic and stay for the day! This is an all ages event. Dogs on leash are welcome. Please note: there’s a $5 fee to enter El Chorro park. Having cash will speed up park entry.

Join sanctuary staff and volunteers for August's Discovery Program on Sunday, August 9th. Learn about ocean chemistry by participating in an acid-base experiment and create your very own pH art piece.

Join staff from the Morro Bay National Estuary Program on a family-friendly kayak tour of the bay! Participants will get a unique view of the estuary and learn about local flora and fauna, as well as the work that the Estuary Program does to protect it.

All ages are welcome, but minors must be supervised by their adult at all times. Kids ages 12 and under must be in a tandem kayak with an adult.

Calling all tween/teen Minecraft enthusiasts! We're starting a new Minecraft Club at the Library this summer. Bring your own computer with Java Edition* installed to join the collaborative play. Show off your world, get and share tips and tricks!
Beginners to pros welcome. Recommended for ages 9 to 16.

UC Master Gardener Program of San Luis Obispo County extends an invitation to the public to visit our SLO demonstration garden. Bring your lunch, tour the garden, ask questions, or just sit and enjoy the sights & sounds of the Garden of the Seven Sisters.

Held the first Wednesday of each month from April through September, this informal drop-in event is an opportunity to ask the Master Gardeners questions.
