Scott Yoo leads this annual Baroque concert at the picturesque hilltop setting of Serra Chapel in Shandon. This program highlights the virtuosity of the Festival artists, featuring flute, oboe, bassoon, and trumpet soloists.
A tour de force recital—the Bach Sonatas and Partitas will be performed side by side with Philip Glass’s “Sarabande in Common Time” written for Mosher Guest Artist Jennifer Koh in 2016.

The Cambria Center for the Arts is pleased to announce its next studio exhibit, “What is Revealed: Paintings by Margaret Biggs.” Bigg's work consists of stylized realism that opens the mind to the imagination. Her imagery has been popular in the evidence-based Healing Arts Movement and can be found in medical facilities, hotels and businesses nationwide.
Exhibit: June 30 through August 30, Tuesdays to Sundays from noon to 4 pm.Artist Reception: Sunday, July 5th from 4:30 to 6 pm.
Costa Gallery celebrates a special occasion with their "6th Anniversary & Artist Reception." Popular musician Jill Knight will perform soulful tunes from 1 to 3 pm. Meet and mingle with neighbors and artists, and enjoy local wine and snacks. Hours: Thursday through Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm and Sunday, 12 to 4 pm. Exhibits run July 26 to September 6.
The Guadalupe Buddhist Church is having its annual Obon Festival. Obon is a Japanese tradition where they celebrate the ancestor’s spirits returning to their homes and reuniting with their loved ones.
This year’s celebration includes traditional Obon Dances, Martial Arts demonstrations, Bonsai instruction, and popular Taiko Drumming. There will be delicious foods including chicken teriyaki dinners, sushi, bbq kushiyaki, udon and more.
The event will also feature a raffle drawing, arts and crafts vendors and children activities.
Fred Ventura will demonstrate how to create vibrant, bold and highly detailed digital paintings with Procreate. All levels welcome.
Up in the Air will play it's unique blend of upbeat original music along with some familiar favorites at Castoro Cellars.
Set in Victorian Age London, this 90-minute opera combines the factual with the fictive and the historical with the imaginary. Who poisoned John Cree? Is there a serial killer on the loose? Based on the Gothic thriller novel The Trial of Elizabeth Cree by Peter Ackroyd.
Immediately following the performance, all are invited to learn more in a special talk with the artists on the Granada stage.
Taimane translates to "diamond" from Samoan and perfectly reflects the different facets of her nature. Whether delicately finger-picking through Bach or radically ripping through Led Zeppelin, Taimane has the ability to morph genres—from classical to rock to flamenco—and stretch her instrument far beyond the familiar melodies of Hawai`i, where she grew up.

Scott Yoo is joined by sommelier Cassandra Tarantino to host this curated wine and musical experience. Clarke’s Midsummer Moon and Glazunov’s Rêverie orientale, both ethereal tone poems, set the stage for this program. Israeli-American composer Shulamit Ran’s Lyre of Orpheus for string sextet tells the sorrowful story of a deep love lost. Following is Prokofiev’s playful quintet for oboe, clarinet, violin, viola and bass. Rounding out the program is Turina’s piano quartet, a piece infused with the spirit of his native Spain.
