We gather to walk the land with attention, drink living tea, and cultivate ecological awareness as a relational, embodied practice. This is a space to slow down, listen, and remember our place within the living systems that hold us, supported and guided by tea—an ancient plant ally that helps bridge human awareness and the living intelligence of the land. Each gathering includes gentle walking, simple tea ritual, and quiet reflection guided by the season, the elements, and the land itself.

UC Master Gardener Program of San Luis Obispo County extends an invitation to the public to visit our SLO demonstration garden. Bring your lunch, tour the garden, ask questions, or just sit and enjoy the sights & sounds of the Garden of the Seven Sisters.

Held the first Wednesday of each month from April through September, this informal drop-in event is an opportunity to ask the Master Gardeners questions.

To honor the annual event, the Los Osos art venue features 3 exciting exhibits, on view from July 23 to September 6.
—Elizabeth Chaney's "Legends" series includes bold portraits of musicians, celebrities and cultural icons in her distinctive style.
—Keagen Mackey's ceramic collection "Body" features large classic pottery forms with modern imaginative elements.
—Michael J Costa's latest photography showcase "Explosive" is the culmination of his 3-year quest to capture the volcano Kilauea erupting in HI.

Hours: Thursday through Saturday, 11 am to 4 pm and Sunday, 12 to 4 pm.

This evocative exhibit explores the beauty and power of darkness, where light reveals only part of the story and shadows spark the imagination. Through a variety of artistic styles and mediums, artists interpret the hidden, the overlooked, and the unexpected, inviting viewers to discover what emerges when we look beyond the obvious. Join us for this captivating exhibition and experience the drama, depth, and wonder found In the Shadows.

Spokes’ has introduced a new quarterly, in-person roundtable series designed to offer deeper connection, shared learning, and peer support. These sessions include lunch, a short facilitated program, and guided discussion.

August program details:
—introduce practical tools from motivational interviewing,
—a proven approach to conversations that helps people explore their own motivation, reduce resistance, and identify next steps.
Participants will consider how these techniques can support supervision, board leadership, team culture, client engagement, and collaboration.

This session is primarily intended for full-time, paid CEOs and Executive Directors of San Luis Obispo County nonprofits. Advance registration by July 30 required. Register to receive event location details.

Discover the art of printmaking through play! In this engaging workshop, students will learn the basics of block printing using LEGO-style bricks to create their own unique patterns. Instructor Blair Baker, a local artist and art teacher, encourages young creators to experiment and embrace their imagination. With six workshop dates available, students are welcome to return and explore new ideas as their confidence grows. Ages 7 & up. $25 per class.

Teaching Artist Showcases spotlight this extraordinary talent in concert, bringing our influential teaching artists to the stage in chamber music collaborations.

Witness the next generation of stars as our incredible fellows take the stage to compete for the coveted title and a cash prize.

Similarly, the local non-profit Artist Advocacy Foundation builds a bridge—one between artist and patron—allowing artists to flourish and contribute to the vitality of their communities.

“Bridging Worlds” is a collection of works that support this idea. 50% of proceeds from artworks sold will be donated to Artist Advocacy Foundation. Creative expression is essential to our humanity and artists of all walks of life need support.

Indah Gallery is open Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays from 12 to 5 pm. Exhibit runs July 17 to August 9.

Gather your friends and head over to Hubba Wines in Tin City for live music every Friday evening from May 1 to August 28th. Raise a glass to the setting sun while swaying to the tunes of talented local bands. We’ll have wine and food available for purchase.

Doors open at 5:00 pm. Music starts at 6:00 pm. All ages welcome. $5.00 donation per person at the door.
