The popular Central Coast Bioneers Conference, a Bioneers Pollinator event hosted by Ecologistics, Inc., is moving to a new location at Pavilion on the Lake in Atascadero.
The conference will focus on inspiring environmental and climate-related topics on Friday and on social justice topics on Saturday. “There is so much despair about the current political mood in our country, environmental destruction and climate change,” said conference organizer and Ecologistics CEO Stacey Hunt. “We are here to provide you some success stories and restore your optimism.”
The two-day conference will take place Friday, October 2nd (9 am to 6 pm) and Saturday, October 3rd (9 am to 4 pm).

Discover your inner film critic by casting your vote for Best Film and Best Actor in the 29th Annual Manhattan Short Film Festival. You'll join over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 venues across the globe gathering to see the Ten Finalists in this year's event.
The final selections screen simultaneously across the world during a one-week period, attendees can view all 10 short films and vote for Best Film and Best Actor awards at the Cambria Library.
Join us at SLO Botanical Garden for a cake picnic featuring live music, drinks, and activities for all ages. Bring your favorite homemade or bakery-made cake and sample the delicious creations shared by fellow attendees. As you taste your way through the event, be sure to cast your vote for the day's Fan Favorite Cake and see which creation "takes the cake".

Many Americans can trace their ancestry back to the North Carolina Scots-Irish. We will focus on who these people were, where they came from in the British Isles and where they settled in the New World. Where to find repositories and records of this unique population will also be covered.

Camp San Luis Obispo will come alive with the excitement of the annual Zombie Invasion SLO, welcoming participants of all ages for a day filled with fun, community, and charity. The morning kicks off with an untimed 1-mile walk/run or 5K walk/run—both courses will traverse paved and unpaved terrain, obstacles, and ward off zombies. Great visuals with zombies, survivors, and families, perfect for photo opportunities.
The Zombie Invasion SLO is more than a day of excitement and fighting off zombies. It also directly supports local programs for individuals on the autism spectrum and their families, including Camp Expedition, social engagement initiatives, and training events, making a meaningful impact on the community.
