This event is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your talents, enjoy friendly competition, and support a worthy cause. With every stride and jump, participants will be helping to fund vital programs for underprivileged youth in our community.

Join the Estuary Program and Friends of the El Moro Elfin Forest for a sunset walk and bat talk. Learn about the bats that live in and around the Elfin Forest, and how researchers find these flying mammals using ultrasonic detectors.
Participants will also have the opportunity to walk around the Elfin Forest boardwalk trail at dusk, looking for other crepuscular and nocturnal animals.
All ages are welcome, but minors must be supervised by their adult at all times. No drop-offs, please!

Step into lavender season with a relaxed, one-hour walk through the fields, led by farmer Milton Hambly. Learn how lavender is grown, harvested, and distilled, meet the animals, and harvest your own bouquet along the way.
Includes:—One-hour guided walk with the farmer—Insight into lavender varieties and growing practices—Hand-harvested lavender bouquet—Time in the fields and picnic areas

Experience an orchestral program combining Sibelius’ lush Symphony No. 1 with an “ingenious and beautiful” work by American composer Samuel Adams for solo piano, led by renowned conductor Hannu Lintu and starring teaching artist pianist Conor Hanick.

Back by popular demand, the brass fellows will perform an array of works anchored by American composers in celebration of the 250th Anniversary in the historic Plaza del Mar Bandshell. The afternoon will also include food trucks, an instrument exploration station, and games for family and friends to enjoy.

UC Master Gardener Program of San Luis Obispo County extends an invitation to the public to visit our SLO demonstration garden. Bring your lunch, tour the garden, ask questions, or just sit and enjoy the sights & sounds of the Garden of the Seven Sisters.
Held the first Wednesday of each month from April through September, this informal drop-in event is an opportunity to ask the Master Gardeners questions.

Toss it? No Way! Volunteers repair bikes, clothing and textiles, outdoor gear and apparel, jewelry, watches, small appliances, furniture, laptops, tablets, game consoles, and phones for free. If you know what's needed, bring the replacement part (i.e. battery, zipper, lamp cord) to speed things up. Don't landfill it. Fix It!
