The UC Master Gardener Program of San Luis Obispo County extends an invitation to the public to visit our SLO demonstration garden. Bring your lunch, tour the garden, ask questions, or just sit and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Garden of the Seven Sisters. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions.Takes place on the first Wednesday of the month from May to September.

NatureTrack's Family Days field trips (https://naturetrack.org/news-events/) are for parents, grandparents and children to enjoy nature games and activities together. Learn more about the El Capitan State Beach (5/4) and the North Campus Open Space (7/14) on the remaining two inaugural outings scheduled. Freedom Trax units will be provided to people who use wheelchairs or to those who might need extra assistance on the trails at no charge.

Barkapalooza is an annual fundraiser to support Sherwood Dog Park, in Paso Robles. We will have lunches for $5 (hot dog, chips and a drink), lots of cool silent auction items, a bake sale with treats for dogs and humans and a photographer to take pictures of dogs and their humans. All proceeds raised will go to the repair and maintenance of the dog park. Please come by, browse our donated auction items and meet some amazing dogs and community members!

The show features hundreds of cacti and succulents in 70 different classes. This is the opportunity for our members to show off their beautiful, unique, rare and prize-winning plants, and to educate our community about cacti and succulents. Experts will be on hand to answer your questions on selecting and growing these fascinating plants. The sale portion of the show consists of a variety of dealers in rare and hard to find cacti and succulents and several specialty potters who bring an amazing variety of hand-made ceramic planters to the show. Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm, the Society holds an auction of show-quality plants that encourages lively bidding.

Come run a 5K or 1/2 a mile to raise money for recreation programs in Templeton! All ages are welcome. Templeton's favorite Fun Run is held at Barrelhouse Brewing Company and hosted by Templeton Recreation and the Templeton Recreation Foundation. The 5K Beer Run is a family-friendly event.Refreshments (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be provided. T-shirts guaranteed for all participants signing up before May 1, 2024! Dogs are allowed, but must be on a leash for the duration of the event, including on the route!
