The Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce is proud to present the Annual Awards Gala for the Chamber's 70th anniversary, the Seaside Soiree. Awards will be given for four categories: Business, Citizen and Nonprofit of the Year as well as the Living Treasure award. Award nominations close August 30. Previous winners are not eligible for nomination.

Tune in to tone up this holiday season with Gentle Chair Yoga at the White Heron Sangha Meditation Center. If you are looking for less stress and fewer aches and pains, this is the perfect mindful movement class for you. Starting October 26th, join certified yoga instructor Jill Falcone every Monday and Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:15. This ten-week series is designed for all ages and abilities. No prior yoga experience is required.
Practice yoga in the serenity of our beautiful meditation center, with joyous music and a fantastic community of people while improving your balance, flexibility, and strength. Chair yoga delivers all the wonderful benefits of traditional yoga with less risk of injury!

Art Center Morro Bay presents the “Love of Nature” exhibit, an experience of beauty, wonder, and diversity of the Central Coast through the unique perspectives of local artists. Discover familiar scenes of the ocean, bay, marshes, mountains, plants, and wildlife, along with imaginative and abstract interpretations that invite you to see nature in new ways.

September 17th to November 2nd, 12 to 4 pm.

Come down to Benny's Pizza every first and third Monday of the month for good craic (Irish for a good time!!), great pizza and cold beer! The Central Coast Irish Session will play from 6 to 8 pm with a beginner's session from 5 to 6 pm lead by Daniel Cimo.

As a singer, composer, and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music by fusing country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues throughout his career that spans 14 albums. Lovett is a four-time Grammy Award winner and was named Texas State Musician, making him one of the most iconic and vibrant performers. Joined by his renowned Small Large Band, Lovett displays his variety of talents through poetic lyrics and captivating storytelling.

The Cambria Center for the Arts (CCA) presents "Mix it Up!", a vibrant mixed media exhibition. This showcase celebrates creativity without boundaries, featuring the innovative work of featured artist Carolyn Chambers. Additionally, works by our local artists exploring diverse materials and techniques and combining media in unexpected ways will be on display.

Exhibit runs: September 1 to November 1.
Artist’s Reception: September 5, 4:30 to 6 pm.

Come join the SLO Skiers (and Social Activities Club) at Milestone Tavern on the first Tuesday of every month. Social Hour is from 5:30 to 6:30 pm, meeting is from 6:30 to 7:30 pm. Come meet this fun group and find out what activities we do all year around.

A once a year opportunity to shop for the county's finest handwoven and handcrafted items.

Items for sale include handwoven clothing, household items, gifts and a gallery show of fine crafted handwoven items, including wall displays, clothing and jewelry. Looms and spinning wheels will be on display as well as ongoing demonstrations of weaving and spinning throughout the show.

Spokes Symposium 2026 will center on AI and Digital Safety for Nonprofit Organizations, with technologist and consultant Clara Fulks sharing the AI literacy skills nonprofit leaders need to help protect their organizations, teams, and communities from digital harm.

The program will include interactive small-group activities and conclude with a networking hour featuring passed hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

Join White Buffalo Land Trust, SLO Beaver Brigade, and Nature's Engineers for an immersive, one-day workshop exploring the science and practice of Beaver Dam Analogs (BDAs)—low-tech, process-based restoration structures that mimic the ecological functions of natural beaver dams.

Hosted at White Buffalo Land Trust's living laboratory for regenerative agriculture, this workshop combines expert instruction, field exploration, and hands-on construction to provide participants with a practical understanding of how BDAs work with natural processes to restore water, reconnect floodplains, improve habitat, and build more resilient working landscapes.

By the end of the day, you'll leave with both the technical understanding and practical experience to help plan, implement, and support nature-based watershed restoration on the landscapes you steward.

The training cost is $175 USD and includes instruction, materials, and a locally sourced, delicious lunch.
