Every performance is a celebration of the songs people know and love—from Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Bob Wills, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and other legendary artists to crowd-pleasing rock classics that keep audiences singing and dancing all night long.

Join Canzona Women's Ensemble for a choral concert of seasonal contrasts during a contemplative, yet lively afternoon of music. From “Come Round the Evergreen” by Shara Nova, to “The Snow” by Edward Elgar, the music will wrap you in all the emotion and wonder of winter.

Featuring instrumentalists Grace Seng, Amethyst Shanks, and Dave George.

As a singer, composer, and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music by fusing country, swing, jazz, folk, gospel, and blues throughout his career that spans 14 albums. Lovett is a four-time Grammy Award winner and was named Texas State Musician, making him one of the most iconic and vibrant performers. Joined by his renowned Small Large Band, Lovett displays his variety of talents through poetic lyrics and captivating storytelling.

We'll have live performances from 10 spectacular local bands, you’ll have the opportunity to shop KCBX and Live Oak Music Festival merchandise, try your luck in a raffle featuring dozens of goods and services donated by our local business partners, take part in an exclusive Rod & Hammer spirits tasting, and enjoy tasty food and beverages from The Rock’s on-site restaurant.

We will also be honoring the lives of Frank Lanzone, who served as KCBX’s president and general manager since 1980, and 38-year station operations manager Hank Hadley. If you have been wondering about the best way to share a memory or send your regards, please join us for this day of community connection and celebration of Hank and Frank’s lifelong commitment to public radio.

This concert celebrates a fantastic cross-section of the whole jazz department. The CD project is the grand finale for retired Cuesta Music faculty George Stone, who served as the Head engineer on the project, handling all of the recording processes.
Featuring the big band, small groups, faculty and Voce—these performers will give the audience a taste of the CD that will be available for purchase.

Cal Poly’s Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band will start the program with Gustav Holst’s “Jupiter” from “The Planets,” Andrew Boysen’s Symphony No. 4 and E.E.  Bagley’s “National Emblem March.” Guest saxophonist Nick May will be featured with each of the groups, on works by Warren Benson and Tyler Harrison. The Mustang Band will close the concert with arrangements of popular music from this season’s field shows, with music of Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Chicago, the Scorpions, Shakira, and more.  

With over 20 years of experience and six studio albums, Las Migas is one of the most internationally acclaimed Spanish bands today. This all-female pop quartet combines the rhythms of flamenco with influences from Spain, Cuba, and Mexico, to create a unique cultural fusion heard ‘round the world. Winner of the Latin Grammy for Best Flamenco Album in 2022 and 2025, their unique voice has won over 1 million followers on Instagram and thousands of listeners around the world.
